PARISH RELIGIOUS EDUCATION PROGRAM (PREP) OR CONFRATERNITY OF CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE (CCD)

Religious instruction is held once a week for those children in grade / level 1 to 8 who attend public school.  Classes are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM in the parish school classrooms.

EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS

Men and women of the parish who have been appointed as Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist.  They assist in the distribution of the Eucharist at Masses and also carry the Eucharist to those at their home who are unable to attend Masses because of their infirmities.

Group / individuals visit those who have lost family members, usually within a day or two of the death.

HOME AND SCHOOL ASSOCIATION

The main goal of the Association is to provide a better religious and academic education for the children of the parish.  Also to foster positive communication and understanding with the pastor, principal, faculty and parents of our children.

Coordinates Catholic Charities collection throughout the Parish.

Men of the parish who assist in the collection of contributions at Sunday Mass.  Assist with seating at special liturgies.  Distributes Parish Bulletin after all Masses.

FINANCE COMMITTEE

Advises the Pastor on financial matters, particularly the tuition rates for the parish school.

LITURGY COMMITTEE

Plans liturgies for the season's in the Church calendar year.  Decorates the Church for the proper times of the liturgical year.  Seeks ways to improve the spiritual well being of our parishioners through service and music.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS - ST. BARNABAS COUNCIL No. 8803

"These Men Called Knights" are dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternalism and Patriotism.  The fruits of their many endeavors have been, in the past, beneficial to the parish and are dedicated to fostering vocations, pro-life, and other charitable projects.

Men and women of the parish who study Holy Scripture under the able direction of the moderator.  Group meets on Thursday evenings at 7:30 PM in the rectory.

SODALITY OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Ladies ( men are welcomed ) who honor the Immaculate Heart of Mary with a Novena and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.  Meets every Tuesday evening, 6:30 PM in the Mary Chapel.

ST. VINCENT DePAUL SOCIETY

Oldest organization of the parish.  Aids needy and poor of the parish.  Collects used clothing, household items and furniture for the Society's Thrift Shops.
